WW Recipes and Products

By popular demand, I'm jotting down and linking to recipes and products that have led to my recent success on Weight Watchers. Down 25 pounds and 20 to go.

Built Bars
3 points and 15g of protein for all flavors, except peanut butter, which are 4 points and 20g of protein. I recommend the double chocolate mousse, salted caramel, and peanut butter.

Smart Baking Company
Smart Cakes - 1 point for 1 cake, 2 points for 2 cakes, 2 points for 3 cakes. Top with fat free reddi wip for 0 points. I recommend the chocolate and the lemon
Smart Muffins - 3 points for a huge muffin. I recommend the chocolate chip, microwave for about 20 seconds, top with FF reddi wip
Smart Buns - 1 point for hamburger buns, available with or without sesame seeds

Joseph's Lavash and Pitas
This brand is delicious! Their lavash flatbreads are huge and only 2 points each. Great for pizza. Whole wheat pitas are just 1 point for the whole thing. Also good for pizzas and for stuffing with chicken or tuna salad. I can only find these at Safeway.

Enlightened Ice Cream
This light ice cream does not taste like light ice cream! 3 points for a quarter of the pint (half a cup). They also make ice cream bars that are 3 points. Safeway has the broadest selection.

Salsa con Queso
Yup, this stuff is remarkably low in points. Put it on potatoes, roasted squash, a spoon...

Bird Balls
This recipe is amazing. only 1 point per ball (and they are huge). I shred a zucchini and throw that is as well. Make with italian seasoning, garlic and onion, put it on a dinner roll (3 points) with 1 point of reduced fat alouette garlic and herb for a 5 point light lunch or snack. Or mix in sesame oil, soy sauce, garlic, ginger and chopped scallions for an asian version. Make a 1 point dipping sauce with soy sauce, sesame oil, ginger, lime juice and sriracha.

Shredded Brussels with Bacon, Leeks, and Pomegranate
I love this recipe! Omit the bacon or reduce the amount to lower the points.

Chicken Salad
This recipe is so simple but you guys, I swear it is SO GOOD. I marinade chicken breasts in Chaka's MMM Sauce and grill.

Caramel Apple Spice Slim Life Tea
I drink two cups every morning with Sugar Free French Vanilla Coffeemate (1 point for up to 3 tablespoons)

Aidell's Chicken and Apple Breakfast Sausage
2 points per sausage link. I chop up and put in my breakfast burrito.

Jarlsberg Reduced Fat Swiss Cheese
Melts like a dream! Just 1 point per slice, available at Trader Joe's

Ole Xtreme Wellness Tortillas
Just 1 point each!

Trader Joe's Chicken Burgers with Chili and Lime
3 points per patty, put on a smart bun for a 4 point dinner.

Bibigo Frozen Chicken Mini Wontons
Available at Raley's/Bel Air and CostCo. 9 wontons for 3 points. Make a 1 point dipping sauce with soy sauce, sesame oil, ginger, lime juice and sriracha.

Hormel Turkey Pepperoni
For your pizzas, 5 slices for zero points. Cut them up for more pepperoni coverage on your pizza

Bolthouse Salad Dressings
Made with yogurt, the ranch and blue cheese and delicious and just 1 point for 2 tablespoons

Lil Drums by Drumstick
Mini ice cream cones for 5 points

Avocado
You might think these are too high in points to touch because the app will tell you they're 11 points for a medium avocado. BUT if you weigh your avocado, take out what you want to use and weigh it again, enter the number of grams into the app, you'll find it's really much more "affordable"

Speaking of weighing things... weigh all the things. You'll find you can have much more of a portion of most items by weighing, as well as getting a more accurate sense of how much you're actually eating. Get a food scale. Hate making more dishes? Place the container of, for example, queso on the scale, hit the tare button to zero it out, and spoon out what you'll use and drizzle directly on, for example, potatoes. the scale will go negative the number of grams you took out and you can enter that into the app. Works for bags of shredded cheese, alouette, ice cream, all kinds of things.

True Lemon and True Lime
Perk up your water or club soda with these. You won't be sorry. Also good to use in recipes for the citrusy taste without adding liquid

Roast mushrooms
Buy sliced baby bella or crimini mushrooms, spread out on a cookie sheet sprayed with nonstick. sprinkle salt, garlic powder and crushed red pepper. Roast at 350 for about 15 minutes. add to breakfast burritos, lunch wraps, etc.

Roast shrimp
Combine peeled, deveined, tail off shrimp with minced garlic, salt, true lemon and crushed red pepper. Roast at 400 for 6-7 minutes. My go to zero point snack or meal.

Pay attention to your portion size, not the serving size on the label. Just because the label says that 1 serving is a certain amount, doesn't mean you have to eat that amount. Some things, I've found, I don't need as much as 1 serving. Some things I need or want more.
