If you're reading this, chances are you know me. Or you know someone who knows me. But just in case you don't, here are some things you should know:
I'm 35 years old. I live in Placerville, CA which is about halfway between Sacramento and Lake Tahoe. I'm a health communications professional. I attended Scripps College where I earned a BA in English (British Literature to be specific) and Johns Hopkins University where I earned a Master's in Health Communication.
I am married to a wonderful man, Chuck, who I've known forever. We currently have two dogs, Moose and Finn. They are different as can be, but the best of friends and I love them both differently but dearly.
While I do like to read, I spend my work days in front of a computer, reading and writing, so reading for fun ebbs and flows. I appreciate a good page turner though, and am a subscriber to Book of the Month. Full disclosure, if you click that link and sign up, I get a free book.
I also love TV. I watch a lot of Primetime shows and Food Network. and of course, Lifetime Movies. They are so trashy, predictable, and poorly acted. Love them.
Lastly, I love to cook. This is one of the things I was worried about when I signed up for Nutrisystem. There is no cooking. I mean, I suppose sauteing vegetables and cooking the occasional protein for my weekly Flex Meal would count as cooking, but not really.
So that's me in a nutshell. Take me or leave me.
This blog started to share my weight loss journey with Nutrisystem. It failed. Now it's just... a blog. Enjoy!
